1903-1932 Schatt and Morgan Senator

Schatt & Morgan knives were first manufacturer back in 1890. The Queen Cutlery company made most of the more recent examples, but Schatt had its own plant in its earlier years that cranked out the oldies. There is no shortage of fantastic Schatt & Morgan knives in existance that have been made over the brand's long & storied history.

1903-1932 Schatt and Morgan Senator

Post by Tony_Wood »

I reached into a box today at an antique store and this came out. Cost me only a few dollars. It is my first S&M. Honestly, I bought it because the price was right. Not until I got home did I realize how old it is.
I love this game of the search, the find, and the research of what I found!

That IS a sweet little knife and not a tang stamp you're likely gonna find in just any antique store "junk" box. Well done, Tony! ::tu::

Looks like you found a diamond in a box of coal Tony. You'd be surprised how much that little gem would fetch on ebay. ::tu::

It's your first Schatt & Morgan and you managed to score one that's Pre-Queen; I'd say you did very well regardless of whatever price you paid for it. Looks to be in good condition, too. Congrats, Tony.

PS Thanks for posting the Queen/S&M tang stamp chart also...I've been wanting one of those for my files.
