Re: Schatt and Morgan, Titusville Pa. 1903 - 1933
Great knife, MB. Does it have the Canadian military broad arrow?
Lovely maize knife, Dave! I know nothing about beads. I did bring a string to OKCA for Charlie back in 2018. My wife had two strings the same and I talked her into parting with one of them. Let's keep our fingers crossed for 2022!!knowtracks wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:45 pm WOW!!!!! Look at all the posts!!
Thank You Danno and MB for the contributions!! The ugly knives are cool Dan! They were made in Titusville so sometime after 1902.
That big ole riggers knife is sure a handfull Miller Bro's. They must have made a bunch of them for the war.
Here is a Maize knife, which is basically the same pattern as a Pruner except for the blade shape. I thought it was interesting!
Dave
PS Dan, the trade beads kinda go hand in hand with the buckskinning thing I've been doin for years. Charlie's also a bead guy and every year @ the OKCA show we bring, buy, trade some. IF we ever have another show I'll make sure you know and you can bring some and join us! We'd enjoy your opinion!!

You can certainly see why they were popular. Wish someone would make a run of these today that were readily available to knife users. Thanks for posting, that is one beautiful knife.knowtracks wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:14 pm Sorry took me so long to get back! Regular winter storm here today so outside work is on hold! I quickly learned to keep a rag on hand every time I looked at your posts in this thread, Dave, but it seems as though I'm going to need a bucket because I just can't stop drooling over all your gorgeous S&Ms...truly an amazing collection. Green with envy I am!knowtracks wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 10:14 pm 3 3/4" closed 2 Bld Jack, Spear main with decent bone. I see why these were so popular back in the day!

Great jack, Dave. Two blade jacks at 3 1/2" to 4" are my favorite knife to carry.

Thank You danno, DM11, stockman, QT, Ivoryman and cudgee! I appreciate your encouragement! Keeps me goin!!
I'm reasonably certain this would be considered a premium stockman. A little unusual with having 2 clip blades instead of a spey. At 4" closed, lined bolsters, nice cut swedges and again decent jigged bone!

Thank You Lyle, danno and MB!!!
Here are a couple of pen knives before we get back to the meat and spuds.
A well used Wharncliffe with obviously celluloid covers.... I believe this is also celluloid but I really don't know how to tell real tortoise shell..... perhaps someone here does?

Dave enjoying this S & M knife thread you started! I should have posted these two earlier but I forgot to and here we are.
I think you saw the lock back folding Hunter when I snagged it at OKCA a few years ago.
The bottom one is another advertising Jack I bought from someone right here on AAPK 4-5 years ago.
Thanks

The bottom Jack is not too shabby either.
