Rough Ryder Half hawk aka LoomFixer
Rough Ryder Half hawk aka LoomFixer
I love LoomFixer knives. A sway back 2 blade jack, large sheepsfoot main and large pen secondary no bail. These 2 blades usually compliment whatever big knife is on my belt.
Case and KA-BAR made them in the past, but only RR makes the pattern now. ONLY ROUGH RYDER! This is one of the great things about the brand they make these old patterns available again.
I have others but I’ll start with this one. Merry Christmas everyone!

Re: Half hawk aka LoomFixer
Yep RR calls both the single and double blade sway back jacks Half Hawks. To be a LoomFixer it needs both blades. The single coping blade is more of a rope knife except it should have a bail. Great knife either way.
I have a BuckShot one and it’s beautiful. Get one before they are gone. You won’t be disappointed.

Now see what you went & done, Tim. You made me go order one of them this morning. Before you posted I didn't know the Buck Shot was out. Thanks a lot for the unintended Christmas present to myself.

Couple new ones.
Re: Rough Ryder Half hawk aka LoomFixer
I'm waiting on SMKW to process my order. This will scratch the new knife itch pretty good.

And...they're here! I'd be happy to share some detailed thoughts on them if anyone is interested.

I have a couple of those. I have the green handled one with a pocket clip and the red and white stripped christmas handled one. I need to get them and my old CASE loomfixers out and do a comparison and review….

Having picked up these two, I can see why you like this pattern so much!
