ROUGH RYDER DENIM MICARTA WORK KNIFE

Post by Beavertail »

Got this one yesterday and I'm fairly happy with it.
Fit and finish is nice but it has a big flaw in the design.
They put a swedge right where the nail nick is making it extremely difficult to open.
I think they are over thinking some of their knife designs.
I may put a thumbstud on it.

I just checked my Coal Miner version--no swedge. Why not use the same blank?

My sole complaint with the Denim Micarta/Classic Carbon versions is that while carbon steel, I think they are overly embellished.

Yep, I have the Coal Miner and the Red pickbone they're very easy to open.
I just ordered a Kwik thumb stud, maybe that will help. ::shrug::

Did they make this in a small version?
