Patches

Welcome to AAPK's Veteran’s Forum. This is a place where veterans can meet, get to know one another better, perhaps swap a story or two, and share any recent information that they have acquired from the Veterans Administration, DoD and Veterans Service Organizations, including but not limited to, DAV, AMVETS, VFW, American Legion, PVA, and MOPH. Another good source of information are branch specific organizations.
We will have a voluntary CHECKING IN topic where you can introduce yourself, years serve and branch or branches of service. Welcome Aboard!

My denim jacket is a walking billboard for the Marine Corps. Even though I was not a combat Marine, I'm proud of my service in the Corps.
Given that, had the North Vietnamese made the decision to send planes in against Da Nang, we would have wiped them out. The HAWK Missile was a deadly weapon. We protected Da Nang just by being there.

And even less seem to care ! If they would shut up and put up they would understand . Was at the VA in TOMAH for BS session last month with some fellow Veterans and the topic was us and them . The us being Vets and them being civilians ,and like the old saying goes , “ If we have to explain you wouldn’t Understand !
Big H , always liked the Navy Seabees patches . There’s one of a bee operating a Dozer with a big Cigar in his mouth pushing a pile of material and just a grinning. That big old Red One is a awesome patch . Here’s a few laying around the house . The St. Michael patch was sported by many units that jumped or fast roped from above . Some thought it helped , and honestly, there’s times when anything that helped meant a Lot . Whether it was a good American Cigarette or a patch .
Take care out there Brothers and Sisters . ::handshake::
