Here's one that Bear & Son did a good job on. On a scale of 1 to 10 for quality I'd give this knife an 8.5. ::tu::

Nev, I like the knives. Bear hasn’t the best quality control. Some I have are excellent, others less than perfect. From the photo, I’d say those are excellent. Not sure I’d like the pocket clips though. I’d have to carry it awhile then decide to keep or remove them. They are convenient for carrying but sometimes get in the way when using the knife. All in all they look great. For myself that’s the perfect pattern for a working knife.

I really like em' too Nev! They appear to be seriously solid sodbusters, nice! And those clips are so small n' cute that I'd consider leaving them on, and that's a BIG concession on my part! 8)

I can go either way on pocket clips. The clips on these knives are so tight you can't pull the knives out of your pocket easy.Way to tight. ::dang::

Great line-up of solid working knives, Adam.
Even just to pull one out to cut open a box, folks will comment on what a fine looking pocket knife it is.
Did I mention they are solid and fine looking knives? lol!

Here is a Colonel Coon Barlow made by Bear & Son. The pivot on the secondary blade is kinda' gritty at the half stop but the master blade is smooth as glass. Fit and finish are good and the materials are good quality. Over all, could have been better but not a bad little knife.

Those Barlows are one knife that Bear does a pretty nice job on consistently. I like their Barlows. The rounded and smooth edges make that a great knife for the pocket.

I have some Bear knives made in Jacksonville that I really like. Posted below are a few of them. That said, I agree with the comments that quality is inconsistent.

The first one shown is a large Stag Damascus Razor. It is followed by two "Jack Rabbit Specials."
One a Stag and one a Red Stag. While the Jack Rabbit Specials are billed as a Muskrat, you can see they have two Muskrat blades pivoting from the same end. Certainly not a traditional Muskrat.

When Bear made the annual Remington Bullet knives, I seemed to have bad luck with those. Including the last one.

One of my favorite patterns, the Sharpfinger, was picked up by Bear & Son. These two are pretty good, bang for the buck, but not as good as the Schrade was.
