This is a good video about using a parser. A parser is the hand tool they use to inlay a shield in a knife handle in the old Sheffield factories.

Thanks Dale. Interesting way of doing the inletting, makes me wonder who invented it and when. Somewhere here on AAPK is at least one post with a link to a video showing the same parser technique. IIRC it was an older gentleman from Sheffield using the tool. (Maybe the late Stan Shaw?).

I’ve seen in person the modern day computer-aided machines used for this operation at Case. Quite a difference!
