Western 062 with Jigged Bourbon Colored Bone Handles
Western 062 with Jigged Bourbon Colored Bone Handles
I’m a little disappointed in this Culpepper bourbon colored bone. It appears to only be on the surface of the bone. Either poor penetration into the bone or it’s supposed to look this way and my expectations were wrong (Me wrong? That can’t be it).
It’s still looks okay, just not what I expected. Thanks for looking!

I think it's better than just OK.

It looks beautiful!
I have bought some Culpeppers Sunset bone that was the same way. I think that it is intentional in some patterns, I just wished that it was described that way.
It was not what I expected either, but it wound up being among my favorite rehandle jobs, after I carried it a while.

While Culpepper does quite well with their dyeing, I do find certain colors don't penetrate well, like their lapis blue.
Regardless, great work!!!

Looks great!
Most of the RRs with "brown" bone that I have look exactly like this.

I too have found that some colors don't penetrate well into the bone. But it doesn't look bad at all and you didn't nice job putting the handles on. That's one of my favorite folding hunter patterns.
