A custom auto conversion of Case Sharktooth by Muskrat Man

Post by hogwild »

Folks the knife is in. Words don't convey how happy I am with it. Kaleb exceeded all of my expectations. It fits together so tightly when open that it feels like a fixed blade, it opens with ease and has a flush button so there is no chance of accidental firing. Perfectly centered when open or closed. No gaps between the button and scales or the scales and bolsters. The Case factory could not have made it more perfectly. It opens fast and locks tighter than prior to the mods. I know Kaleb has more work than he needs but will soon send the stag sharktooth for the same spa treatment. I really feel like I got more bang for the buck than I should have. This knife puts my Cumberland Mountain Buck 110 auto to shame and I really like it. What an honorable and talented craftsman he is. Here's my pics which don't do it justice. If you've never held a sharktooth you need to; in order to see why the contours fit so well. Here's a vid that MM made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhlsHLAn ... e=youtu.be

I've had a Shark's Tooth since I bought it new in 1976. I love that knife and I've added a few variations to my collection since then. That auto conversion is just too cool for school. Love it!!!! Congrats on owning it and way to go MM! ::tu::

Congrats on owning a fine conversion. Yes, Kaleb does work some magic. Really like that pattern and I may ask Kaleb about a couple I have to maybe convert. Been wanting an assisted or auto and maybe I will do this instead.

Thanks for posting and congrats!

Fine work Kaleb!

That is awesome and not a switch you would be afraid to use. A lot of the old pressbuttons just aren't durable. Sharktooth knives are built like tanks, great choice and great work! ::tu:: ::tu::

What a great job on that conversion!

The button looks about the same size as the Case Changer "pivot" for the blade.

I know this is an old post but does anyone have contact info for Kaleb or know someone else that does these?

The Sharktooth is easily my favorite and was the first knife I ever collected and thus began my illness of collecting pointy things.

I don't do these anymore, I think there is only 1 sharkstooth and a handful of others floating around out there. I probably did less than 20 conversions altogether.
