A couple recent recovers
A couple recent recovers
I did a large GAW, and part of that was the winners got to choose the knife and what I would do to them. Here are the first 2 knives of the 4 I am doing.
The first one is a Kutmaster stockman. The winner wanted this hunter green jigged bone and a shield.
The next one is this neat Schrade Walden with a Keen Kutter etch. I used a blue jigged bone and a shield.

Gorgeous! Is it a different bur...that created the texture, in the depth of the jigging...on the green one? The blue jigging looks smooth. Any chance you could show a picture of the two different burs or disks, you used to create them?

Great work; I love to see it!
Re: A couple recent recovers
Thanks. I don't do my own dye-ing and jigging at this point, I get all my bone from Culpepper's. They do a great job, which leaves me more time to work on other thingsDoc B wrote:Gorgeous! Excellent, those handles sure bring new life into those old knives. Nice colors and shields for those patterns too.

Classic good good lookin' re-handles!
I'm rather partial to that blue with the American Standard jigging.

Re: A couple recent recovers
I finally finished the last of the 4 knives last week. Here are the 3rd and 4th knives.
The first is most likely a Camillus. Dressed it up with some nice jigged amber bone and a bollocks shield.
This last one was a full on TL-29 mod. Teardrop bolsters, screwdriver mod, gnarly stag...

Glennbad that 3rd one is great but you TL29 mods are out of this world. Fantastic!!
Re: A couple recent recovers
Beautiful work. The blue jigged bone is a nice change for a pocket knife IMO.
