Thanks all !

If I remember correctly, that third one might have been green bone scales. I always shop Culpeppers sale / discount page, so with my luck, I'll probably not see that specific bone / jig pattern again. ::tear::

I've got three Camillus TL-29's coming soon from eBay, so we'll see if I remember how to do this.

Hey TJ....
What method are you using to post pictures?
I can see everyone's pictures here but yours.
All I see is a number. And when I click the number, our stupid firewall here won't let me see your pics.
I am just wondering why I can't see your pics but I can see everyone else's pics without a problem.
(I sure would like to see your work)

Is it just me, or have the prices of TL-29's gone crazy ? I'm seeing barely serviceable offerings on eBay going for $20 up. I used to snag these up for $9 + shipping all day.

Is it the customizers (us) driving up the price, or did these all of a sudden get really collectible ? ::hmm::

There must be some way for the ebay sellers to know there is 5 or 6 of us here on AAPK that want these so we can modify them....LOL
.
I have seen what you are saying.
I have seen some of the lesser grades start out with a buy-it-now of $49.....
If it has a Camillus or Schrade tang stamp.... watch out.....

They have been talked about quite a bit in places other than AAPK and they been talked about a whole lot here. There were fun to collect with a big bang for your buck. Less than $10 would get you a nearly new knife that would last you a lifetime.

After the Camillus sale I bought 100 new Camillus TL-29s I think in that quantity I got them for $3 or $5 apiece, I don't remember exactly because I bought them in to lots of 50 and the price was slightly different. Went back to the seller for a 3rd time to buy some more and he was totally out all within about a 2 week period.

I about choke every time I look at it Camillus TL-29 on eBay with 40% blade loss and the screwdriver blade that someone has attempted to make a knife blade out of on a bench grinder... then they want $50 for it! ::dang:: ::dang::

New one finished. Just discovered Kirinite, and I love it ! Finished this in pearl white kirinite and black linen micarta. No filework, basically because it's been awhile and I need practice on some spare back springs. Not great, but I managed to get things symmetrical this time. And first try with a new Lansky sharpener system. (more practice I need lol)

Thanks all ! I try to get a little better each time, but I've yet to put it all together on one knife.
Hopefully if I get my sight back in my left eye I'll get a little better. Lack of depth perception sucks. 8)
