If you're not totally sick of TL-29 mods, I probably have a few pictures rolling around somewhere that I have not found yet. I don't think I have been the really outstanding ones just some average type TL-29 mods.
Nope... not sick of 'em... I am enjoying seeing everyone's work.
There is SO MUCH you can do with a TL-29.
You can leave the blade "stock" and do the work on the handles.... you can remove blades and doll up the handles.... you can modify the blades......scroll work... etc.

Y'all keep 'em coming.

This is FUN!!!

Those are nice ones Glenn! I really like the one with snake wood handles.

I'm glad you had some more TL-29 mods, I think I'm all out of pictures.
Looking at all of these TL-29 mods has given me a few ideas... ::hmm::

Good golly Glenn... those are all BEAUTIFUL knives!

Give us a breakdown of the materials you used for the scales....
Like for instance from the top... #2 and #3.

That yellow just plain looks like candy. Amazing!

Man..... WOW....

Thanks guys!

The top one is stag of course
Number 2 is Red Mallee
Number 3 is interior rams horn. This particular stuff had great color throughout, and not really any "bark" that you see on many.
Number 4 is redwood lace burl, IIRC
5 is craggy stag

Interior Rams Horn..... AMAZING STUFF....

I guess you just have to take that stuff as it comes??
OR can you see what you are getting before you buy it?

Yes to both. You can see what it looks like on the outside, but until you start sanding away, it's a little hard to see what's underneath

PS I've now created a problem ... having found the photo of the Boker ... I'm actually not sure where the actual knife is ::teary_eyes::

But as Dale said, the last one is a true stand-out!

I just made it out of NS bar stock, then ground it to shape.

Thanks!

That stag is just plain GNARLY man!! BEAUTIFUL work! WOW.... I'm with Dale.... the rear bolsters on these TL-29s sure makes them into REAL eye catchers! Your work sends the TL-29 into a totally different category!

Amazing work Glenn!
