A recent Trio

Post by glennbad »

Recently finished these up. First is a Camillus 23 in amber richmond jig with shield. Left the age on the blades.

This eyewitness got some stag and a new shield. Left the blades and bolsters with a rough and used look.

The last one is a standard GEC 44 gunstock pattern. New covers and same shield.

Very nice work, Glenn (as usual). I especially like the top two bones & shields.

It's the Camillus 23 that makes my heart beat faster. Wowza!!!

Beautiful work Glenn. All 3 are awesome! I really like what you did with the Cammy 23. I've never thought of putting a shield on one of those, but I may have to give it a try. That "bollocks" shield is very cool. (At least I think it's called a "bollocks".) And, from what I can see, your inlay work is perfect on a what looks to me like a very difficult shield to inlay. If you don't mind my asking, where did you get that shield? ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

That bone is VERY nice and you did a beautiful job with it.

That shield on the Camillus #23 is exceptional.... Did you make that shield?

Glenn, that 23 and what you did is just amazing! The other 2 are great as well. Had to go back and drool over the 23 several times.
Very nicely done ::tu:: ::tu::

OH.... Uhhhhhh... Glenn.....

In your last picture, I see an ole 2OT (OR is it one of your TL-29 mod knives?)....

NOW.... you don't really want that ole knife ruining your display do you?
Just send it on over to me and I will make sure it doesn't sully ANY of your displays ANY more.
After all.... it is the least I could do for a good friend..... right?.... good friend....

LOL.....

From what I can see, it is a REAL BEAUTY, like all your FINE handiwork!!!
WOW.... just WOW....

All of those are great Glenn! I’m partial to the 23 of course, since I have a bone rehandled one and I know how great they are. But in this trio I think the eyewitness takes the cake.

The combination of the aged blade and that stag just looks right. That stag looks like it could have been original to that vintage of knife. Well done.

Great job on those three!
I especially love the 23 and the Eyewitness. They both look better than brand new!
