My first custom job...

Post by Alien883 »

I think back in 82 or 83....I bought a unfinished carving set made in Solingen in my local German knife shop...never had time to work on it...end of that year I decided I work on it and give it to my Dad in the US as Christmas gift!
Made some walnut handles, used some door knob brass too...lol...made a presentation box too...he loved it, but never used it!
Lost my Dad last year and this carving set got back to me...

I'll bet your Dad really did love those, but now they will have a special meaning for you. Sorry for the loss of your Dad.

You did a great job on those. I believe it was precious to your father, and now doubly so to you. I offer condolences in the loss of your father.

Really nice work! I went through something similar a few years back when my dad passed, and got back many of the things I gave him, some of them that I made.

I'm sure he liked those a lot.

Beautiful work! ::nod::
Sorry to hear about your loss. ::handshake::

I lost my dad in 2016. I had a dream about him yesterday and we were reunited. ::shrug:: I also had a dream about his funeral just a few days before he was killed in a car wreck. Scary. :shock: ::paranoid::
