Bruckmann re-pattern

Post by glennbad »

The owner of this knife originally was going to sell it to me, but then decided to have me mod it for him. The knife itself was beautiful, except for a blowout of the handle material on the pile side. It's for that reason that he decided to have it modded. I suggested the Drover style knife like GEC's 35 that they did. This is what I came up with... before and after.

Terrific conversion Glenn! It's hard to believe that's the same knife. ::tu:: ::tu::

Beautiful!

Agreed! I was interested in purchasing it from the owner, and would have left it as-is, as I had not seen another example, but I am sure there are others out there. The variations in the Bruckmann patterns are interesting to me as a collector.

That's pretty cool. Nice work Glenn, excellent looking antlers and really like the thinner carry with the blade removal. One of a kind cool. ::tu:: ::tu::

Thanks! I actually had that knife back in my shop after. The pull on it was too stout for the owner, so I pulled it all apart and worked the spring and tangs a bit, and it was much more easy to use after.
