Master blade says Canastota, everything looks like a Utica to me. That looks like Utica can opener and Utica bone. I believe Utica started in 1910 and is still in business. Canastota started in 1875 and closed in 1895.

That master blade is definitely not original to that knife .

I believe that the brand was defunct before the pattern was conceived. Not to mention that the BSA and Official scout knives were not yet in existence before the Canastota brand demise. Spun pins on a Utica frame with a blade that does not belong in the knife. Yeah, good and bad all the same to Sporty.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
