Is this knife real? Is it rare and what would the value be?

Its been buffed, but yes its real.
The handles are rubber and called gutta-percha. and i hate to admit it. But there usually pretty ugly.
Its worth what ebay sells it for, but of been worth more if they would of left the blades alone.

Yes its rare,
1913-1914 give or take a few months

Is that rough black? Sweet looking old knife, I like how Case Bros. stamped the X's right on the blade. ::tu::

What year did they move from Little Valley to Springville?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Those are not the rough black handles like you see on the old Case Tested knives. I don't know what they called it.
Actually Case Brother's Plant in Little Valley burned down around 1912. They rebuilt in Springville in 1913 but ceased to exist in 1914. So they were in Springville a very short time. That is why Case Brother's knives with the Springville stamp are rare.
