Is this the one? Sorry, I'm not able to offer any info...but someone else, likely will. Nice looking knife, if it's legit.

Not a real case . Here's what a real 25 cent Case knife looks like. A barehead swell end knife.

I guess one would consider this Case a Boys Knife?... I understand a true Case 25 cent knife is more rare with a big price tag (I’ve heard $3-400  - though I don’t collect Case I would like it for my boys knife collection but not at those prices :) ...

For the sake of posterity here’s a picture of the OP knife in question. An obvious cobbled POS. ::barf:: it amazes me that people will spend their money on garbage like this, especially when it’s so easy to find out what a legitimate one should look like.

That is a utter piece of garbage!
You said it Ken. All it takes is one google or two and you hit either here or blade forums.

Thanks Larry ::tu:: - I think for many knives those price guides are very inaccurate - I usually divide those numbers by at least 2 but since it is a Case Knife which are popular among collectors I am not sure if this is correct but I think Steve P (knifeaholic) did tell me they are way up in price ::nod:: ... like Keith noted I can’t imagine many pay that price ::shrug:: ... I know I would not  ...

LongBlade, I agree Book Prices have always been a guide, and not the actual price you pay. In the last few years I’ve seen more older Case Knives for sale than ever before, but that market has started drying up again and prices have started going up. I’ve seen knives that usually sale in the hundreds now selling in the thousands. Some are in the 5 figures range. Look for the Price Guides to reflect the increases.
