The bolster's way too long
And the end cap's way too short
The pins are too far in
On the handles they support.
The jigging on these handles
Match no Case I've seen
And the pattern number's phony
You can tell by the way the digits lean.
The blade has been subjected
To so much grinding that:
An old stamp must have been ground off
Then a new one was attached.
So if imitation
Is the sincerest form of flattery
Why's W.R. rattling in his tomb
And threatening assault and battery?
The bolster's way too long
And the end cap's way too short
The pins are too far in
On the handles they support.
The jigging on these handles
Match no Case I've seen
And the pattern number's phony
You can tell by the way the digits lean.
The blade has been subjected
To so much grinding that:
An old stamp must have been ground off
Then a new one was attached.
So if imitation
Is the sincerest form of flattery
Why's W.R. rattling in his tomb
And threatening assault and battery?

Hey Robo, very well done! I like the way you put that together.
I’d still give the knife a home, as an example.

Nice poem!
Bad knife.
Bad knife.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Great educational poem and description.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

BRAVO!
Now THAT'S the way a fake needs to be identified!!
It frustrates me to no end when someone post a knife here in the Counterfeit Watch forum and all they have to say is, "Another fake."
