Fake Case or not

Fake Case or not

Just bought this, I collect Marbles and Western, not so much Case. Thought it was a 1940-64 stamp. Looks like it could be fake. What do you think?

Looks to have been rehandled and the jigging on the Stag looks a little funny.

Stamp looks good to me the knife looks good I just think maybe rehandled

I agree with Gary. The edges of the handle are not cut very straight. Large gaps. Click on the image to get a closer look.

The single large red spacers used on each end of the handles of this knife were common on celluloid but not on stag. I would guess the handles were originally celluloid. Everything is right about it with the exception of the handles.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
