2 of a kind

Post by just bob »

I just noticed this morning that one of the Counterfeit Forum's old friends is apparently selling under at least 2 different names on Ebay? Same ring, same city, same low prices, same green background. Caveat Emptor.

Who said - A rose by any other name would smell as sweet?

If so, it would be nice to know the store name so we can avoid it.

Someone educate me.
What is the advantage of a shyster having two ebay sites?

I talked to a seller that said he had an account in his name and another in his wives name for tax purposes. You get a W2 after $18K or thereabouts so they could sell double the amount without getting a W2. You could also bid on your own items. You could also sell all of your junk under one name and better items under another name and create the illusion that you only dealt in high end merchandise. I'll bet there are other reasons as well.

He recently won this one at pretty much its highest value, or possibly a bit more than it's worth:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CHARLES-LANGBE ... 7675.l2557

And now has it right back up for this ::uc:: :

The knife is the real deal but the price is so out of whack I can't see how anyone could justify half that amount. I don't get it.
