This is my favorite knives of all so when I see one I tend to take notice of them. Look at the master blade on this. It has a different tang stamp than the blade beside it, which I think is original. Master blade also has had considerable reworking of the tang and choil area on both sides. The seller notes the blades have weak snap. Maybe a good reason for that? Also appears the seller is from the heart of knife country.

I seem to recall reading somewhere some information about how to differentiate between an authentic Purina advertising knife made by Remington versus those made by others. I’m not sure but I think it was in the old Knife World several years ago. Unfortunately I can’t find it and don’t remember the details. I think it has something to do with placement of the checkerboard pattern on the handles on an authentic Remington versus other makers?
