I don’t collect a lot of Case. But should the scale pins be different than the rocker pins?

Nothing wrong with the knife. I believe these were WWII production knives made by Case. Not the usual quality you see from Case in this era but still legitimate.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
