Crop the photo before you post it whether you need to or not. Always works for me.
Understood, Mike and no, you're not the only one. It irritates me too.Meridian_Mike wrote:Yep... this is true..... you see, I'm not the one with the problem.
Other folks are doing this.
I was trying to find a way to see if I'm the only one that the side-ways pictures was bothering.......![]()

Mike, I really bothers me when I post a picture that is oriented correctly and magically it turns a quarter turn on it’s side. I have had that happen a few times and still don’t understand why it happens. When I move the picture from my photo album it’s correct, but after you hit submit it suddenly flips. I don’t know how to tell in advance that it’s going to happen. Nor do I know how to correct it when it posts that way. Technology hard, hurt my head.Meridian_Mike wrote:LOL.... these Dawg gone new fangled cellular phone is a messin' up the world!313 Mike wrote:I only read and post from my phone these days.

Mike, these may help. The first three stickies were written to at least partially help with this. I mainly use my iPhone, so I’m most familiar with that method. Cuz did the one for Android I believe. The biggest issue is to make sure you little camera level icon thingy is turned the right way when you take the pic. Otherwise you’ll have to jump through some hoops.Meridian_Mike wrote:Y'all got any ideas about how to help people with the side-ways picture problem??
Man... I am getting a bad creek (crick) in my neck from looking at other folks side-ways posted pictures....
I have such a bad case of OCD that the experience of looking at sideways pictures messes up my concentration... LOL. I know it might not bother some of you and if I am in the minority here.... I will just have to live with it.
So..... just as a laugh.... here is one that might just show y'all what I experience....

Mike there are a few threads on the subject in the 'Tips & Tricks' Forum but people don't read them. There have been several discussions and much research done on this issue with the results posted on the forum but people don't read. Reorienting them is a very easy thing to do but people don't read.Meridian_Mike wrote: Maybe I need to ask if there is a BIG BOLD jumps out at you PLACE to tell the side-ways folks how to do their pics correctly..
Is there a way to let everyone else know what to do?
