Thanks fellas. Appreciate the knife words. I do love the stag. Still riding that learning curve.
I am not a photographer, but here are a few pics of the finished knife. With better lighting, later, I will get some better photos, maybe...

Tony your finished knife with stag handles is comparable in quality to a Tuna Valley single blade with stag handles I have. I think you may have to start a customer waiting list because there is an obvious demand. Good luck to you going forward. Let us know when you start production of your knives for sale. Thanks for sharing your pictures, Steve B.

WOW, that looks great. I have been working towards doing something like this, but am not there yet. I am learning from your techniques and posts about them.

Thanks OC. One tool at a time, one step at a time. Every knife I repair, and every knife I build “learn” me a thing or two.OLDE CUTLER wrote:WOW, that looks great. I have been working towards doing something like this, but am not there yet. I am learning from your techniques and posts about them.
Started on a set of Christmas gifts.

A new one from the bench.
Every knife is like a classroom.
Learn new things both to do, and not to do.
1084, brass liners, nickel bolsters and pins, and stag.

Tony they are good to start with and then you keep improving them. Like the blade profile. Great work.

Number nine.
I had intended to build ten last year, but only finished seven. Second one for this year, and something to learn with every one.
Still using 1084 as I can get a consistent heat treat with it.
This one is wrapped in mammoth.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy the process.

Tony you keep teasing with look but don't touch. Those are great especially with the mammoth. Excellent.

Thanks Floyd. I feel the same way when I build a knife for someone. I have it for a time, but then can't use it.doglegg wrote:Tony you keep teasing with look but don't touch. Those are great especially with the mammoth. Excellent.
It seems that more get stuck in my pocket, or on my side, than pass on through.
