Re: Fixed blade builds
Like the knives as always Tony. Is that a shotgun shell brass on the one little knife?
Re: Fixed blade builds
Super nice! Are you going to put the lanyard on another knife...or is that for something else?

Re: Fixed blade builds
Some great looking knives Tony. That antler handled one catches my eye. Great job.
Re: Fixed blade builds
Great job on the knives shown here. I particularly like the drop point with the black micarta. Is that G10 or what? You may have just inspired me to make another knife! Thanks!
Re: Fixed blade builds

Thank you. That knife has micarta on it. Please post pics in this custom knife section when you build! Love to see the work of others.rugmar wrote:Great job on the knives shown here. Thanks Doc. That has a 1600 grit hand finish. I usually stop at 300 satin, so not many get taken that far.Doc B wrote:Awesome!!! I'm gonna go ahead and vote...bottom one.

Re: Fixed blade builds
Tony, glad to see the Wharncliffe making its appearance. That one looks good. I especially like the antlered handled one earlier too.
Re: Fixed blade builds
Here are two Fixed Blades that I am currently working on, One is a Frontiersman Small Bowie Blade is 8" 3/4 Measuring from Guard Placement to its Tip and the other is a Drop Point Bush-Crafting and Camp Knife I am making and has a Blade that is 7" from its Guard placement to its Tip. Both of these are at the Rough Grind Stage where I have used a 36 GRIT Belt - So I still have a ways to go......They will both have an Aluminum Pommel with Brass Guards and Stacked Leather Handles with some sort of Colored Spacer Combinations with either Aluminum or Brass

Re: Fixed blade builds
Okay.......Thanks.......Tony........Here is the Drop Point......I put some checkering on its spine up close to the Point for Batonning, something that is done when you have nothing better to use like a Hatchet or Ax, mostly a practice in Busch-Craft, I've also added a lanyard to secure it to the hand while chopping on anything i.e. Branches, Limbs Small Saplings and such or wherever you might need some cord to tie something off or to secure something or even used for medical purposes like a tourniquet.....Piece of cord can be Handy and a life Saver when needed but so can a piece of clothe from any piece of clothing.....Plus it looks cool......Pilot Knives had their Guards Drilled with two Holes for securing to a Stick for Reach as well as making a makeshift Spear for Spear Fishing and Hunting - Anyways Here it is and I am Selling it too at least I plan to......$289.00 Plus $14.00 for Shipping - Comes with a Handcrafted Sheath too, made out a Cowhide - MMK
