By the way, my daughter chose this knife for you. I showed both the finished knives and asked her - choose for Tom. And she chose this one.
I am aware of my abilities. The knives I make, compared to the masters I see in this and other forums, are nothing special (and I'm ashamed of the sheath). But I know they are strong, well made and comfortable to use. I'm really glad you like it!
And the other is going to Switzerland tomorrow for a friend.

Cool! ::tu:: I just learned how to darken stuff! ::nod:: Great idea! ::nod:: ::tu::

Here is something I like to do.

"Oiling Bones"

I like to apply Ballistol oil to bones. If the bones are not sealed with wax or polish the oil will bubble from the air coming out of the bones. The "Air Bubbles" turn the oil into foam. As you can see on these pictures. The red bone, I had already soaked several times so there are only a few small bubbles that are hard to see. The brown RR bone didn't take on any oil. Meaning it has some kind of sealer on it. And the C.F. Kayser bone handles were bubbling like crazy! ::nod:: I reapeat this treatment 4-5 times untill the bones are saturated & the bubbling stops. As was the case on the red bone. ::nod:: ::tu:: I normally only do this to older knives or EDC knives. I don't do it to new "Showcase" knives. ::shrug:: It gives old dull bones a little bit more shine. ::nod:: ::tu::

Hi Tom, how are you my friend?

In fact, my goal was to straighten it out. The original shape of the horn can be seen in the first photo. Darkening is a side reaction.

Bulgarian scientists have decided to make a covid vaccine. They did a lot of research and experiments, but the result was always brandy.
For me, the situation is similar. Whatever knife I want to make, whatever model I make, it eventually becomes a kitchen knife.
N690Co, handle - stabilized wood.
P.S.
But, soon I will surprise everyone and I will make a knife that is NOT a kitchen knife.

Hey, Tracе, nice to see you! I have not yet lost hope that one day I will appear on your porch with a barrel of homemade red Bulgarian wine under my arm.
So far so good, my friend. Everything is fine with us. I hope you are well too.

Based on the idea and model of the French master blacksmith Christophe Andrian, a.k.a "can" in the forum. Of course, I am far from his mastery. Thanks Christophe, I learned a lot while making this knife!

Hidden tang passing through the guard and 2/3 of the handle and epoxy resin.

By the way, I am very pleased with the experiment of patinating brass with ammonia. Very good effect, but smells awful at work.
