My Glennbad Collection

Post by QTCut5 »

With the recent addition of the ivory I*XL (bomb from PCWizard), I just wanted to show off my collection of Glennbad mods which has grown to this gorgeous trio of two ivories and a gnarly stag.

I feel like the proud father of triplets! ::super_happy::

Thank you, Gary and Glenn.

~Q~ I'm glad you started this. Glenn deserves the notoriety. May I tag on. Not trying to out do you.
These are the ones I could find that Glen has done for me.
Thanks Glenn. More appreciation than you can imagine.

Absolutely. I love seeing Glenn's work. I know he's done a lot of mods and I was thinking it would be nice to be able to see them all together in one dedicated thread. Then, right after I made my post, I remembered that there already is a thread dedicated to Glenn's work called "Glennbad is the BADDEST." ::facepalm::

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43013

Oh well, looks like now there are two glennbad threads.

I had a hair of a time finding the proper shield for Glenn to install on it. The Camillus 23 is a great pallet for customization and Glenn has done a few.

This is one he did for me. I love it.

And this is one he did for a relative (I'm remembering B-I-L but I could be wrong) that was retiring from the Marine Corps. He did an outstanding job on it.

Not a Major, Doc. That's a Lt. Col. leaf. (Major is gold) And I'm with you. The knife is just splendiferous.

I have one glennbad custom, a Camillus Electrician
with his patented screwdriver mod. Sorry I don't have pictures on this laptop ....

Glenn was very patient with me as I was being picky about the color I wanted.
Even more so when the bone I sent him would not work out.

After that, I kinda gave him free rein to finish as he saw fit,
and he surpassed my expectations !!

You guys are too kind, it's embarrassing... Thank you for the nice comments, it truly means a lot, and doing projects that you guys appreciate is a huge honor for me.

If you like the work I do, please know that it is only possible because of those I learned from along the way. Guys like Dale, Kaleb, Bob, etc., are great mentors and friends, and freely share their knowledge with everyone. Also, I find that the "newer" mechanics teach me things every day. You cannot put a price on that shared knowledge and experience.

I look at some of my early work, and am a bit embarrassed that I sent those knives out like that, but I guess that is a part of learning and honing your craft. I try to raise the bar with every project that I do, and while I will never be fully satisfied with the work I do, I keep trying.

Thanks. :)

Great topic! It's nice to see large body of Glens work all in one topic. It really is impressive to see so many high quality modifications at one time. It makes a much bigger impression than seeing one or two come out at a time.
Congratulations my friend, this body of work here is a fine representation of the quality and level of your craftsmanship! ::tu::

Glenn did a mighty fine job turning this Schatt & Morgan Heritage Cattlemen into a single blade for me. It had some serious flaws from the factory but now it's a knife that I'm proud to own.
