silver dagger

Post by hellize »

Hello.

I have just finished a damascus dagger to show
It is 36.5 cm / 14.5 inch long. The blade has been forged of 5160, L6 and 1.2516 and is 22.5 cm / 9 inch long with hundreds of layers.
The scabbard is crafted of cow hide. The handle is made of stabilized burl, bone and silver.

My goodness, you're not just an excellent bladesmith, you are an artist.

Thanks! But hold your horses. The silver embossment isn't my work unfortunately

"Don't Sing Love Songs, You'll Wake My Mother. She's Sleeping Here, Right By My Side"
"And In Her Right Hand, A SILVER DAGGER. She Says That I, Can't Be Your Bride"............Scottish folk song.

Sorry to wax poetic, but that knife inspired it. Beautiful! J.O'.

It's an old, 1960's, ballad recorded by Joan Baez. Maybe on YouTube. Check it out. Enjoy. Again, A Great knife! J.O'.
