These 2 arrived today from Mark at Sharpnshinyknives, and although I was more interested in the Junglee, once I handled and examined the Robeson, it was no contest! An 8" oal Junglee linerlock slip-joint, equipped with an AUS-8 steel Wharncliffe blade with stud, a single SS liner, brass pins, black synthetic covers, and pocket-clip. Made in Seki, Japan. Second, is the 8 1/4" oal Robeson slip-joint, with a SS spear-point blade with N/N, NS bolsters and shield, brass liners and pins, and stunning jigged strawberry red covers. Made in the good ole' USA! As usual, another perfect transaction with SSk! 8)

Thanks for reminding me I didn’t have that Desert Storm commemorative… just found it on eBay for $66 :) and bought it! You guys are a bad influence ;)

I now have the Korean War, WWII, Vietnam and Desert Storm bone trapper commemoratives. I have different knife commemoratives for WWI and for Enduring Freedom.

The reason I bought the Desert Storm commemorative… One of my school classmates was the 9th US military person killed in Desert Storm…. Downed in an aircraft on the first wave over Baghdad.

RIP Maj. Tom Koritz… an Air Force pilot and flight surgeon, formerly of Rochelle, Ill., died Jan. 17, 1991 when his F-15E aircraft was shot down on a bombing mission in the Persian Gulf. He left behind a wife and three children.

Thank you posting that information. I think it becomes easy living one's life day to day to forget the sacrifices so many of our fellow Americans have made in the service of the country. And so many have made the ultimate sacrifice; from Lexington and Concord up to the 13 killed when we finally pulled out of Afghanistan in 2021. They should never be forgotten.

That Junglee is a sweet looking knife Mark, sleek lines on that. And those Queen made Robeson’s are one of my favorites. Just as well made as Schatt and Morgan and as good a quality as GEC.

I just got home from a couple weeks in a remote part of Alaska and these are two of the knives waiting for me.
First is this great little pre-shell Imperial EO from Lee Roark at Ir64knives. It just never ceases to amaze me how easily these old knives take a razor sharp edge.

Next it a beautiful pearl lock-back from Gary at Kennedy Knives.
Thank you Gary
