Dug out this NIB Boker Whittler last weekend, had it a number of years; decided to EDC it this past week, still carrying it today. OH

geo you are right. However, to my detriment, I made the error of showing the knife to my sister; also the fine leather slip that I carried it in.
She gently explained to me that red was her favorite color; that she loved the knife; and the leather slip matched the color of the knife and also matched her favorite purse. Now that fine knife has become hers rather than mine. Because she is a kind person she allows me to look longingly at it whenever she takes it out.

Gino....Love that S&W. Is it a .357? What model. Noticed the fluted barrel.gino wrote:Great looking knives guys
Same as usual here
Did pick up a new edc side arm though
I just picked up a S&W Shield 45acp and an ATI 1911 in 45acp.
To keep this a knife post, I'm carrying my GEC 81 today.

Bruno, what bone handles are on your GEC Moose? They look a bit like early 1980’s Case Appaloosa; nice! By the way, your ATI (not a brand I know) 1911 looks pretty close to GI, like that too. I wanted one of the GI M1911A1 that the CMP has for sale (like I carried as an MP and as a unit commander) but way too many hoops to jump through for me to mess with. OH

OH that's what GEC was going for. Here's a #81 Bull Moose in Appy bone next to a 1982 Case Appy bone Barlow for comparison.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Grabbed the nearest two knives running out of the house because I was late, bent the crap out of the deep-carry clip on my modern folder once I arrived, and just in general having a Monday of a Monday. The Benchmade is sitting on the desk because I hate that it just slides around on the lip of my RFP. So right now these two are all I'm totin'. Pics are recycled because I'm also upset that some sort of debris ended up in the sealed glass of my phone's camera lens and I can't get to it without taking it apart...

Smooth Appaloosa Bone.
ATI guns are made in the Philippines on original wartime tooling (this is what I was told). The quality is very good for a pistol that cost me 373.00 shipped.
Since the picture was taken, I've swapped out the grips for a set of diamond wood grips and bought a flush bottom mag. Hate that extended plastic piece on the mag in the pic.
A CMP gun would be nice to have but they're charging a lot for them and like you said, a lot of hoops to jump through.
I once owned a 1911 that was made in 1917. Should have kept that one along with one of the Garands I once owned.

Today, the companion knife for my EDC Benchmade knife is this single blade
folder by Lakota, U.S.A. I received this as a gift from the NRA when I became
an Endowment level member circa 1999-2000. It holds its edge and has a crazy sharp snap.
