This is one of my favorite Schrade knives, their 1989 issue 85th Anniversary whittler. Sterling and Sambar. What's not to like?
I don't always respond to great posts but I always appreciate seeing them. Thanks for posting!

Re: The whittler page
Thanks for the comments! The way Schrade toasted their sambar knives make it one of my personal favorite handle choices and I'm always on the hunt for more knives with them.
Here's another Schrade 804-type whittler made for Mountain Whittlers Knife Club. One of the first Schrade "Heritage" series whittlers produced. Their Heritage series were first introduced in 1983 and usually had the year on the shield. These knives with their 1982 blade etch would mark them as one of the first uses of the new Heritage 8041 tang-stamps. These red bone handles look pretty good too with nickel silver bolsters.

Re: The whittler page
Time to resurrect this thread. I thought I had more whittlers in my collection. To my surprise I only have these. I sell a lot a whittlers in my store, seems like they move just about as fast as any pattern of knife.
I recently picked up the Joel Chamblin in the middle with the gold pins. It’s called a Gentleman’s Pen Knife, but to me it looks like a half whittler, so I am including it in these photo’s. I think my favorite whittler is the “fiddle back” pattern or as some call it the split backspring whittler. Again, I only have two, the Rigid by Canal Street and the Robeson. For being one of my favorites, I sure am lite on whittlers.

Thanks Ivoryman. I like that line up of yours too. The Willamette whittler is pretty sweet. I hope to get one of those and a Grindling someday. Maybe when the prices come back to earth on them.

Re: The whittler page
AI agree that it is time to bring this thread back to life, SSK. Nice whittlers that you have! I would not count on the GEC prices ever coming back to earth.
Three beautiful knives, Ivoryman.
Here are four of my whittlers. Hibbert Spencer and Bartlett top left, Frank Buster top right, Coles bottom right, Bulldog bottom left.

Re: The whittler page
It was my late husband's collection of whittlers that brought me to this forum. His preference was congress whittlers. He had about 125.
I've gradually been selling them, down to about 40 now.

Re: The whittler page
Skip, those Camillus whittlers are really nice, but I think the Cattaraugus would be my favorite of the bunch. Love that old way of making these.

Beautiful knives, Skip. Very nice bone on all three, but I especially like the one with the tipped bolsters.

Re: The whittler page
Here is a Case Classic whittler that I have in my store. One of the best things about having a store is being able to handle so many knives like this one. Love those slanted bolsters.
