I've never seen a Coke bottle that long and slender, reading the knife it all looks right but I dont know that much about old Cases. Maybe knifeaholic or pa knives will come along and we can all learn something ::nod::

Definitely an artifical leg joint. Or a cabinetmaker's success. Take your pick.

I hope I'm not the only one who needs this dumbed down a little (or a lot) to understand what you mean. ::paranoid:: I can tell it's not positive, but beyond that I'm at a loss. Would you mind elaborating?

Thanks!

I'm not really clear on interpreting Knifeaholic's Response, but for what its worth Case did make a slender coke bottle. I don't like the looks of this one though. For one thing I don't recall ever seeing one equipped with a spay blade.

Blade Runner is correct in his read of the knife. Unless someone has more on this than what has been presented I wouldn't touch it unless I was truly in love with it and didn't care about its possible origins. The spay does concern me. It would require a much closer examination to truly decide. I respect anyone who buys a knife because "they like it" nothing wrong with that at all.

Lifted from the referenced thread:

"For those that don't know my "secret" codes:

artifical = faux

leg joint = knee

artificial leg joint = faux knee

cabinetmaker's succes....

the cabinetmaker was successful - he made the counter fit"

THANKS 4ever3. I feel so much better.

Well sometimes I feel uncomfortable (seriously) on a public forum, declaring that a knife (one that is up for sale to the public) is a fake...so I can use these codes to get my massage across to you guys in a subtle way.

See the Counterfeit thread on this knife for my copmments on the actual knife.
