I got "The Big Iron" on my hip today. Doing some light brush clean up today and using my trusty old "chopper".

Thanks! The blade is great for trimming small branches off trees (making a walking stick etc...) chopping down brush to clear a line of sight when shooting and so on... ::hmm::

Two Boker Tree Brand knives with carbon & bone. A #7474B Large Stockman & a Whittler.
EDC506.jpg
I don't have any problem with the springs on the Stockman but I think the springs on the Whittler fit as well as any I have.

Yes sir you are correct! ::tu:: I have a few of them and I always seem to find them out at the flea markets and antique stores. They are very solid knives so I tend to pick them up and rotate them into the EDC lineup.

Thanks a bunch geo, and, I forgot to mention I really like the bones and look of that Boker Stockman, too. I can see why you like. Both are cool, but that jigging and color gets my attention more. Know how old it is? It's sweet regardless.

Thanks. I have trouble trying to date Bokers, however, I think the Stockman was made around 1965 to 1975. And, yes, it is sweet.

I'd call that a rope knife; I think a rigger's knife has a marlinspike. All three of those are great, and you now have me thinking about picking up one of those electrician's knives.
