Just got a S&M 54 splitback in ebony which is a honey but has a very hard pull-- I like that on a whittler but she's gonna have to be carried and used for awhile. Tried dragging some photos but it wasn't working. Also have the tiny Kershaw Launch 9 clipped to my pocket.

That looks like a great trapper you got there. How long ago did you buy it? I guess that would have been a "Gadsden Purchase". Is it made in Japan?
I got it this week.
Like my other Kershaws it is made in China.
The Japanese quality control on their products is evident.

It’s a great size (about 3.5” closed ) and razor sharp with a great overall finish.

I have a trapper from Mossberg (their logo), made in China that is a great knife. It is the size of a Case 6254 Trapper. I got lot's of hard use out of it. So sometimes a knife from China ain't a bad thing... ::hmm::

Clear and cool morning at 32F, made for a beautiful sunrise overlooking the valley from the homestead. Headed into town with this swayback in my pocket.

Ken Coats, ATS 34 and Paua that I supplied.

Thanks! I bought it new back in 1977. When I carry this I don’t really need anything else.

A Case trapper and a well used Gerber Guardian. I bought the Gerber new, back in the Olden Times when I was in high school. I have carried it for years and sometimes left in a drawer for years. I lived in 7 different states and moved many many times since then. Somehow I have not lost it over all these years... I hope I didn't jinx it by writing that.... ::doh::

I went to Titusville, Pa, in 2014 and I went to the GEC factory and bought a couple of knives from the shop there. I love their products!
