This S&M has the DFC stamp (2012 to 2018). I bought the Gerber around 1975 (& did just a little file work to round out the profile).

The Coast is interesting--it looks awfully like a first-gen BuckLite; but Buck never made knives for Coast; only Camillus and Schrade did, to my knowledge; and lots more were made in China or Japan.

Back side says made in Taiwan, it's a fine knife steel is good but probably not as good as Buck, it's easier to sharpen at least Tote'n this doing yard work.
