Giving this Buckshot a review.....it failed immediately as the thumb stud tab does nothing to help open the knife....

Good looking pairing David, can't go wrong there.DM11 wrote:Bighomer that a sweet trio of HOK's!

Yes sir woodwalker, that'll get the job done.woodwalker wrote:Been carring this one for the last few days. Love the simplicity of it and the color. Thanks for looking.
Such a treasure you have there Steve, Not sure If my grandfathers carried a pocket knife but if they had I would love to have one in my possession.Steve Warden wrote:An old Kutmaster my Grampy gave me almost 50 years ago.
Not the prettiest, but she'll take a keen edge. The master rolls smooth on the spring, no snap, but no wobble, either. The other two blades w&t decent enough, with no wobble on 'em.
Guess I'd carry it more if it was "pretty", but she'll be sure to have occasional time in the pocket now and again.
Third day in a row for me with the Queen lock back in the pocket, paired it with a Robeson sleeveboard pen tue. and with a S&M Barlow wed.

Think it's a 1945 year according to Charlie Compangna who looked it up for me in his encyclopedia because no one at the OKCA knew anything about it that we checked with. Thanks Charlie. Great knife.
I decided to stop baby'n and start using this bloodwood handled Queen 4L special. Carried it and this vintage bone Camillus yesterday.

Your memory is correct, Tony, it's a 2017. And thanks for pointing that out for the benefit of anyone who might have thought I knew what I was talking about or thought I could type.Tsar Bomba wrote:Does the pattern # end in 17 or 12? If the former, it dates your knife to 2017. While I didn't pay much attention to the last 66 run, I do remember a hemlock bone offering. Just a couple of Camco's today, they were calling out to me this morning begging for their turn. The stockman is the knife that started me down the collecting rabbit hole, it came from my dad's coffee can of knives after he passed. It is unbelievably sharp. The Barlow I picked up a while back just because I liked the blade 'patina.

I'm infatuated with the 82 stockman but the 66 is starting to call to me. The Queen and Case are both awesome knives too.geocash wrote:Your memory is correct, Tony, it's a 2017. ACSB is one of the two biggest reasons I miss Queen. The other is Winterbottom bone. That gunstock is glorious!Steve Warden wrote:In an effort to post more frequently...

That Anvil is in really good condition. They're fetching a lot more money than I ever dreamed these days. You sure do have a treasure trove, biggie-H!bighomer wrote:How 'bout some Delrin.
The bull moose was restless today so into the LFP it went, along with the Boker in the watch pocket and the Gerber in a fairly small belt sheath. Two days in a row without a modern OHO folder?

Well Bomba, they look better than any modern OHO I can think of. Really. That Boker bone and the Appy bone, mmmmmmmmmmnnnnnnnnnnnn. Can't think of a OHO flipper with covers like that.

David, is your Barlow one from a series that Case had made using brass bolsters? OHDM11 wrote:Barlow & 8OT

Great carries fellas.
Been away for a little while on a missions trip, and in a couple of conferences. Haven’t had much time to post, or even check in.
Got these two today.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Well, it looks quite nice. I vaguely remember Case having Colonial or Imperial make them a cheaper line of brass bolstered pocketknives with a western theme flair (such as Durango or something like that). I may have simply dreamed it! OHDM11 wrote:No, its a Old Cutler.
