Seeing all these great knives is bad for my wallet. 🤔
Meanwhile, I just received another eBay purchase.

It's my 5th RPK (Russian Prison Knife) and is an auto that's 10 1/4" oal and features all SS hardware and bright red Bakelite covers.
Fast and snappy via it's BO/BC action.
Mike's very innovative packaging helped this baby get past Customs.
I also recently received my first MANUAL RPK that I'll post soon, and I knew prior to purchasing it was a manual but I liked how it looks anyway.

I like this one Mark. Something about the red that appeals to me.

I like the elephant toe in a display box.
Some very nice knives being displayed here in this thread.

I got this Henckels in the other day, made by Boker with premium materials a medium stockman with great looking stag. This knife feels fantastic in hand. Very nice.

Can you describe "anthracite"? I 've never heard of that before and I'm curious.

I would say a friction knife, in addition to friction, the spur that connects from the base of the tang (you can see it sticking out presses against the palm of your hand when holding the knife open holding it in place.

Thanks for commenting, Mark! ::handshake::
That bright red was what caught my eye too, that along with the straight uncluttered overall appearance sold me and I bought it.
I noticed a surface scratch in the Bakelite, can you recommend a way to remove it without damaging the Bakelite? ::shrug::
That's a gorgeous Henckels you posted as well, and I can't stop looking at those 2 new hippo/elephant toes you have listed in the store either. It's a good thing I'm satisfied with my $49. Rough Rider H/T or I'd be putting out the bigger bucks for one or both of those.
I'm assuming you didn't send me pictures of your new "Grail" knife or why I haven't seen it posted here cuz you're waiting for it to be delivered, yes? When I asked for pictures I just assumed you already had it in your possession but perhaps not, or some other reason for not sending them yet, and it wasn't until just now that it dawned on me you might not have it yet. I'll watch for em'!

The wifes canoe set came in this weekend. She seems to have taken a liking to the canoe pattern.

I have posted about this pattern before. I have always wanted one of these since I was a kid. It's been a bit of a grail knife for me. Not because of the price, affording it is not an issue. Sometimes it's just because of the memories it brings.

It's not new, but it's in real nice shape...

Damn straight Eric, exactly how I feel. I did NOT even have a clue how many knives I wanted until I saw them all around here and fixated and followed the examples of all the members and posters. Good luck with that. Watch out. I can attest to the highly addictive nature of knives. It's way beyone booze and smokes and sweets. It's more like crack, speed, heroin, meth, PCP etc. Watch out, the Siren is coming for you. Nice knife too. Beauty. Just the kind that makes sane men turn into shopaholics in no time!

Nice one Glennbad, looks like a tank. Congrats on a lifelong hunt coming to a fruitful end. Case in point of the lifelong addiction knives can become.

Some sweet pickups Case XX. Looks like a tusk in there with all the sweet bone and antler. Big Congrats bud, way to beat around the ban.

I just picked up a knife that I have wanted for a long time too Glenn. It’s nice when you can finally get ahold of the one you have longed for. I’ve seen that Kershaw around for a long time and always admired it. I believe that Master Hattori designed that knife. It’s a well known piece that has been around for a long time. Very nice pick up.

Mine is a SOG Arcitech with bone handles. VG-10 San Mai blade with stainless bolsters and an opal gem stone on the thumbstud. Arc-lock system, you slide the button on the bolster back to unlock. Smooth as silk opening and closing.
