Anyone know what year these were made?
Queen’s amber bone stag is probably the best looking of all the amber bone stag produced. That is one sweet looking knife.
I have to agree. Amber bone stag by queen is always beautiful. And that one is no exception. ::nod:: ::tu::

Nice Queen you Picked up there Rotten. Don't know If you've seen this one already but it was written about knives like your newest one. Hope you enjoy. ::tu::

"Hail to the Queen"

Quite a sight, oh have you seen,
Underneath and in between, all blades sharp & polished clean,
Eyes locked on and focused keen,
Each heart pounding for the Queen,
Never held her but I dream,
I will one day hold the Queen!

Well, I'm disappointed with this one. The tang says it is Case 1979 (thank you for the date correction treefarmer) 640045R Camp knife with brown jigged Delrin. Unfortunately, it seems to have been used a few too many times as a prybar, and the primary blade has a bad case of the wobbles. At first, I thought that perhaps the primary blade from a pre-1970 knife might have been added to later handle, but I don't think so - I think it was just abused. What do you think?

On the flip side, I am very happy with one! I got this new-in-the-package Camillus Yello-Jaket single-blade Peanut. This is a made in China knife, and the back of the package says 2011. I thought about leaving it in the package like a good little collector - but what is the fun in that?? Actually, I think I'm going to carry this guy - I love Peanut knives for EDC, and I also love knives with carbon fiber, so this little guy is double-cool. However, that gap on the back strap to the right of the logo is a shame.

TFL, are you sure about that tang stamp date? Isn't there one dot showing up or am I seeing it wrong? I just read, according to Mr.Pfeiffer, the 640045R tang stamp is a contract knife not made by Case. ::hmm::
I agree with you the little Camillus would be a great EDC. ::tu::

Ha! You are absolutely correct! So, that would make it 10 years later - 1979! Well, I guess the good news is that this makes it much less likely to be a cobbled knife, but it also means I got beat twice on the same knife - and one of those was my own darn fault... ::facepalm::

Edit - now wait a darn minute, this is the picture that was on the ebay auction. @#$*&$^%^!

A few years back Menards was selling a stockman with the same type of handles and box.
I purchased 2, they were only 4.99 ea.
If I can find one I'll post a picture.

I like the wooden box it came in so it's actually triple cool. That cool little box would look nice on your desk at work (If you have a desk job) with some Werther's Originals or some HALLS cough drops or something in it.
That's what I'd do with it.

That's the same knife...photo taken at slightly different angle than your photo and with the blade fully open so the dot is almost hidden behind the bolster.

Today this Remington R14 with 3 blades, an etched main blade, a swelled center and wooden handles, became mine. No cleaning necessary. These are MY pictures.

Purchased a little Bears & Son and Camillus # 21 from Cosgrove . The B&S was full of crud cleaned with mineral oil. Camillus was rusted, no snap cleaned soap & water , spray lube and now snaps ok. Also practiced stoning nicks from #21 pen blade, both will be used

Vintage Keen Kutter 3-1/2” swell-end jackknife arrived from Knifeaholic today, nice and sharp with time aged patina, nice walk & talk, and slick vintage ebony handles. Just what I was looking for in an older jack. OH
