This GEC 97 in jigged cherry wood handle came today. Another wooden handled knife. Finding some really nice wooden handles lately.

Folding knife of the pilot of the USSR Air Force
The knife was designed in 1983 to supply the pilots of the air force as an element of flight equipment. Since the product was inaccessible to the average consumer, it was very popular both among the military and among civilians. Serial production of the knife stopped in 1991.
Part of the survival kit НАЗ-8 (НАЗ - wearable emergency reserve).
A very rare knife I've long been looking for.

Is the notch near the end of the saw blade original or did a previous owner modify it?Eustace wrote:Folding knife of the pilot of the USSR Air Force
