Considering the workmanship of Mr. Masui and the quality of materials used I found the cost surprisingly low.

The answer was no as it was one of his favorite knives and in excellent condition. Sense then I have continued to inquire about it and finally the answer was to ask what I thought it was worth. I gave my answer as an at least price, he responded with a price and we were able to come to a dollar amount satisfactory to both of us. It is a Schrade 863 KON-KAV in wonderful condition. The handles are bone!!! More than I've ever paid for a 72 style knife but excited to get to house it for a while. I will post more pics in the 72 clone thread. How do I feel about this one? ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds:: DSCN7296.JPG
That looks super clean! Careful putting that in your pocket  ... ::facepalm:: I always forget and drop in a mint piece with about $5.00 in loose change, some Allen wrenches and a few self tapping 3" screws... ::dang::

That one will probably never see my pocket GSP.... It will spend it's life with my other 72's. I have done things like that before so this one will stay home. ::handshake::

Boys, y'all are showing some might fine knives, especially the haul of Case folding hunters from Case XX 6383! ::tu::
Feel kinda' sheepish showing up with my little 2 bladed Pal Cutlery with it's little shackle. I found my 1st Pal about 10 years ago down at the Webster Flea Market. It was a small single bladed Pal with a shackle, a little research and I have gathered up a few more but the one that came today came from the shallow end of the bay, $2.99 plus $4.00 shipping. Some of the books call these handles, Pryemite. ::shrug:: Both blades had a few rust spots that cleaned up fairly well with a pencil lead, blades have half stops, great walk and talk. As usual somebody tried to sharpen it and there are a few scratches on the blades. ::td:: Still pretty nice for a 70+ year old knife that cost me $2.99. :)
