Of course you do, Floyd, because you are an epicurean with exquisite taste and a highly refined appreciation for quality
(BTW...I really like the look of those old bones, too!)

WOW...GREAT SCORE, Ryan...well done. The second knife I bought (after my first knife: a 1974 Case 6207) was a Buck Esquire. I loved that knife...it was my main EDC knife during my Boy Scout years in the 1970's. I don't know if your 501 (which someone else referred to as a "Squire") is the exact same model I had, but it looks pretty similar. Great knife...wish I still had my old one, I would definitely send it in to Buck for the "spa treatment" like you did with yours.Stanwade wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 7:45 pm I just pulled this 501 Buck out of the mailbox..I paid $10 for it with a lose, unlocking blade.. shipped it to Buck and for another $10 they replaced the blade and gave it the spa treatment..I'm very happy with this one for $20 total investment.. going to carry it tomorrow...hair popping sharp..
Just seen your post and knife Floyd! Very nice! I know you like them bones! Outstanding acquisition! Congratts!doglegg wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 7:45 pm Purchased this WW 2 Army Air Corp pilots knife recently. Michael Silvey says that Camillus produced about a million of these knives during WW 2. Ulster also made some of this model. Main blade has not snap and all the blades have seen some abuse at a grinding wheel but still proud to have it. Of course, I love the bones. FANTASTIC lking pocket knife JP!
Just beautiful JP.Ripster wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 5:33 pm Nice stuff as usual you all . All this temptation here ,you guys sure snag some good stuff .
Got this Congress finally ,was held ransom for awhile . When bought it didn’t realize all 4 blades had mini long pulls ,really nice on such a small knife . Bought it cause of the bone and a member here had a fair price . Now I’m not a Case guy as a Collector ,mainly Camillus, but this little Congress is really nice.
Thanks all, stay warm and safe out there.
Very nice Jerry. I've seen those and may have to have one. Are the Stars & Bars on the handles painted/dyed on the surface, or is the pattern etched (recessed) into the bone?jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:41 pm Received yesterday.

It's etched. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think the color is dyed. VERY fine work. The stars are super tiny yet distinct. How the heck do they do that?Papa Bones wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:56 pmVery nice Jerry. I've seen those and may have to have one. Appreciate the info Jerry. I've not seen one in person, and really couldn't tell in the photos I've seen.jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 12:14 amIt's etched. Sweet Craftsman.A very patriotic knife Jerry.
Knice knife Philip and now you are a stamp collector!
That's a cool one, jerryd. If I'm seeing/deciphering the date tang stamp correctly, it appears to be from 2013(?)...yet that's the first time I've seen that particular 07 model (I guess every once in awhile I should probably pull Mini-T Monkey's head out of the little 07W foxhole he's dug himself into just to see what's going on in the wider Mini-T world).
Nice little Robeson. But I have to admit, I've never seen so many stamps on an envelope in my life.treefarmer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:01 am Today I received a most interesting envelope from a seller on ebay. I had won a small Robeson pen knife but the package is almost more interesting than the knife. 008.JPG
The knife is a 2 3/4" Robeson ShurEdge Rochester, N.Y. No pattern numbers on the blades.016.JPG

Philip, I'm developing a taste for Robeson and that little pen knife you got looks pretty "tasty" (Mini-T Monkey better look out, apparently he may soon have competition for space riding on ~Q~'s back ).treefarmer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:01 am Today I received a most interesting envelope from a seller on ebay. I'm going to show my age here, but, i can remember when you could pay accounts and buy goods with postage stamps.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 4:56 amPhilip, I'm developing a taste for Robeson and that little pen knife you got looks pretty "tasty" (Mini-T Monkey better look out, apparently he may soon have competition for space riding on ~Q~'s back ).treefarmer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:01 am Today I received a most interesting envelope from a seller on ebay. The number of postage stamps on that envelope made me wonder which was more expensive, the knife or the shipping?
Very nice JerryD. Is that one of them you’ve been waiting a while for ! The detail of the stars is very nice , like the patriotic theme .jerryd6818 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:41 pm Received yesterday.

~Q~ that one languished on eBay for at least 2 months until my financial situation healed enough for me to make an offer on it. You are correct. It's a 2013.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 3:20 amThat's a cool one, jerryd.
