Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Just got this one in the mail. It goes along with the matching swing blade that I've had for awhile.

Not a fan of celluloid, but I am a huge Wharncliffe fanatic which is the only reason I got this little 3" Zenith Germany shadow jack with French Ivory covers. (Photos are a bit on the dark side in order to show the "grain" which tends to get washed out and hard to see under proper lighting.)

That's fantastic, Q! Now, is that Ivoroid the same material as celluloid? That thing appears to be in super condition.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 11:31 pm Not a fan of celluloid, but I am a huge Wharncliffe fanatic which is the only reason I got this little 3" Zenith Germany shadow jack with French Ivory covers. Hopefully it will last a long time to come, it's a real beauty!
Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
I, too, like a good Wharncliffe blade. That is an especially good-looking example. Hope it doesn't do the stuff celluloid is infamous for.

That's a beauty, and looks to be in nice shape. I haven't really been able to find anything out about Zenith as a knife maker though. I have one like yours, but mine doesn't have a few of the pins that yours does, interesting.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 11:31 pm Not a fan of celluloid, but I am a huge Wharncliffe fanatic which is the only reason I got this little 3" Zenith Germany shadow jack with French Ivory covers. Very nice Q. Really like the grain in the material, and of course, the Wharnnie blade! Great find!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 11:31 pm Not a fan of celluloid, but I am a huge Wharncliffe fanatic which is the only reason I got this little 3" Zenith Germany shadow jack with French Ivory covers. Another GEC 93 came in today. I bought this one for my collection. I couldn’t pass up these handles. Cocobolo with some very impressive grain.

Re: Mail Call !-Post your new pick-ups here............
Got in a few this week. First another Pony Jack to add to the corral. A Craftsman 95041 with the white delrin handles and rectangle "Sears Craftsman" Shield. I've passed on many of these because usually the master clip blade had some wobble. This one is tight, no wobble and both blades have great snap with just a few scratches.
Next a couple to add to my Camillus family. Both came with the boxes, original papers, and sleeve. One is a 1997 Camillus Rimfire Classic 22LR6 Carpenters Whittler (a 72 Clone) and has delrin handles with the .22 rimfire brass shield. Next is a 1995 Camillus Rimfire Classic 22LR4 Muskrat, same handles same shield.
