Birthday "suggestions" work around here so I received this GEC 82 Dixie Stockman yesterday (not in the mail). I'm not much on stockmen but I've been looking at these since they came out last year. I had bought the 82 Possum Skinner with Elderberry Jigged handles so now I have the matching 82 Dixie Stockman with Elderberry Jigged handles. Badda Bing, Badda Boom and here she is.

Floyd, that was from my lady friend. My daughter sent me a gift box of Premium nuts 'cause, well, her Pa is nuts.

Got this in the mail today. Just wanted to see what the "Buckshot Bone Handle" was like. Turns out to be a very handsome knife and the style feels good in you hand.

Today, I removed this Camillus 1047 Scout Knife from the mailbox. I have quite a few 1047's, but this is my first 1047 with the federal style shield (that was made by Camillus). Blades are good, the handles are not so good. This is a filler until I find a nicer one. And, of course, it is another Camillus 72 variation.

Maybe a re-handle candidate?
