Blades are good, the handles are not so good. This is a filler until I find a nicer one. And, of course, it is another Camillus 72 variation.
Maybe a re-handle candidate?
Most definitely a re-handle candidate, but not by me.
I don't know how and I don't have the patience to try to or learn how to.

Today my mailbox produced this mint condition, swelled center, 3-blade, Remington whittler pocket knife.
Another Camillus 72 variation off the list. Now for the Remington wood handled variation.

Yeah, we've been down this road several times. It annoys the purists but the consensus of opinion is that Camillus named it "Carpenter's and Whittler's Knife" so that's what we call it. Technically you are correct but who are we to argue with Camillus?

Western made one of these too with a heaver spring than the same frame stockman and stamped "whittler" on the back tang of the main blade, so I guess they agreed with Camillus.____Dave

Whittler, Stockman........It's not a Muskrat, Congress, Half Congress, Serpentine, Dogleg, Cattleman, Pen Knife, Rope Knife, Hawkbill Pruner, etc., etc.
Maybe I'll call it a Whittman or a Stockler. ::shrug::
If well known knife companies, manufacturers, makers call this style a Whittler......who am I to argue?

An elusive USA Bulldog by GEC. More info will be found on the Bulldogg thread shortly. 41/2 ", with a liner lock. Don't much care for liner locks on a traditional pattern. However, the solidity of this knife suggests it has been designed for heavy-duty work so perhaps the liner lock is a good safety device to have.

Well, mystery knife arrived today. I'm just going to call it an unbranded, 3 blade, swelled center, whittler, pocket knife. I don't care if it was made in Pakistan, China or by a 5 year old girl in Indonesia. To me, and after all, that's all that matters, this IS a Camillus 72 variation. I can find no trace of any kind of tang stamp or manufacturer mark or country of origin. It measures 3 5/8" long, closed. It has nice weight to it. All the blades have great snap and no wobble. It also looks NICE! I have no issues with it. :D

It's neat. It cost less than the shipping. Couldn't pass it up. Excellent condition except for some rust on the back side.

Today I received my 2019, AAPK knife. It actually arrived yesterday, but wasn't available for pickup when I made my ONE daily trip to the post office. To say it's a beauty, is putting it mildly. I'd like to thank Bryan and anyone else involved in the production of this fine looking, quality piece of cutlery. Thank you! :D ::tu::
