Very interesting knife. It’s unusual and beautiful. A terrific find !GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 10:04 pmVery nice! I Love Puukkos!!! Here is one I picked up. (I think it is a Puukko it might be a close relative )Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:34 pm Petekuhn, the 4th item from the top is a Finnish made Puukko. It should have a horse's head on the handle which I cannot see. The handle itself is made of casein which is extracted from milk.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Picked up a couple while at the North Star knife club meeting . A Challenge Cut co. ,nice and tight, steel liners and pins ,and good solid handles .
And a Ulster WW1 Era Radio knife. The US Signal Corp shield and smaller size got my attention . Upon looking at it,realized what it was and we struck a deal . It’s smaller than most TL Knives and the Screwdriver blade is unlocked by pushing down on the Main while closed . From what I’ve gathered this knife was not a lineman’s tool ,was issued only to Comms specialists in the Corps . If any other info is out there about this knife ,please let me know.
Take care out there.

Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Good work David, nice pile. This is my finds at the Duluth gun show today. The knives aren't much but they were cheap. A Schrade Walden jack and a German double end cigar jack marked with a HF or FH. I'm more pleased with the Stevens A&T co. model 35 single shot 22 (the outside is pitted, but the barrel inside looks perfect, and it shoots well) and the belt buckle.____Dave

I especially like the Stevens #35. Had to look it up and it has quite a history. Is there any way to tell when yours was made?

Very good haul Dave. I like that pistol, but back in the day who would have carried a single shot 22?djknife13 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:42 pm Good work David, nice pile. Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
Dave the knives are nothing to sneeze at but that old parlor pistol is sweet!!! Congrats.
Re: KNIFE FINDS OF THE DAY
I like both of them, as well as the pistol and belt buckle!
My plans to visit a nearby antique store/flea market this weekend will likely have to be postponed, due to flooding.

It's got a 80188 serial number. I'm hoping that I can find a manufacture date with that.____Davetreefarmer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 12:14 amGreat finds for today, Dave!djknife13 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:42 pm Good work David, nice pile.
