All very nice, gentlemen. If I may, here is the weekend haul, so far.
It looks like a Richards Scout meeting around here!
. I’m fine with that!
The brown and white ones were part of yesterday’s ‘mail bomb’. At first I thought I had both, but discovered to my delight that neither of my knives had the fish scaler/hook remover. Yay!
The blueish ones aren’t actually matched. One is way more blue and the other more to the greenish side. I have other parts of the ‘family’ for both colours.
I have my suspicions about the little Piper. He’ll likely be going into segregation, but for now I’m happy to have him. He and the blue scouts are all from the Red Barn as is the little oddball.
I bought it just because of the way it’s made. The lettering and the building are both metal, inlaid into the celluloid. The building (Hoover Limited) sits more on the scale but the words, which are “Manpower AJH” are set right in. It’s also odd in that the celluloid wraps right around the backspring in one solid piece. It’s too bad about the tipped blade but someone filed it into quite a little scalpel. Hey, for four bucks Canadian, it’s worth it for the oddity! Oh yeah, it’s a Harrison Fisher and Co. Sheffield.
I’ll throw in the chisel. It’s a W. Marple and Sons Sheffield and looks older than dirt. I haven’t looked it up yet.
There ya go!
