Lcart97. ::welcome:: to AAPK!
What a great knife to have, that is as a gift from your grandpa!
Just guessing I would say the knife is a 6232 but we really need to know the closed length to be sure. Also a close up of the tang stamp or stamps on the blades. I kinda' wonder if the knife has been apart at some time in the past? The large blade should tell what era it came from if it still has a Case blade, just can't make it out in the pic. ::hmm::

Yep,.... I am bigger than my daddy was and my boys tower over me..... 6'-1 and 6'-3 .... one is tall and thin and the other is.... just BIG!

I think the hormones they are feeding the chickens to make 'em grow faster are working on our kids too!
Pretty soon, 7'-0 kids are going to be the norm......

I got one lonely Imperial today. I coerced the kid into stopping at the Aldergrove swap - all five tables of it. The vendor actually had a few knives, mostly SAK knockoffs. There was a yellow Imperial but I have it’s brother already. This one seemed to need a good home.

Well, I didn’t get skunked at the Kerrisdale Antique Show, but only three followed me home.
The one Richards started life as part of a little set. I got the leather case, knife and file. Who knows, if I keep an eye out, maybe I’ll pick up other pieces. The file is marked so I bet the rest will be too.
The tuxedo is a made in Japan Keen Edge. It’s on nice shape.
The last is a MOP with a tang stamp that I can’t find. As a matter of fact, I can’t find the knife either, except for one on the Bay. That surprise me because I’ve run into several at shows. They are usually out of my price range but I nabbed this one right at the end of the day. The vendor and his wife didn’t know anything about it. It was the only knife they had. I think I did okay. Sure pretty, ain’t she?! :wink:

Ann, that's some pretty fancy carving on that pearl. You done good finding that one. I found this hand made unmarked hunting knife at a small gun show, and the two folders at an antique shop. The hawkbill is tang stamped JRS with two arrows crossed between the letters and Fein Stahl (fine steel) under the letters. It has brass bolsters and a brass shield. Levine says it's a German made knife not made for export. The other is an old solid bolstered (nickel silver) Imperial Scout in near unused condition with jigged black scales. I might take the fixed blade hunting this fall.____Dave

Nice pearl there Iron Hoarder and Zoogirl.
DJ, that is a great looking fixed blade...especially the sheath work.

Found this lonely stockman looking for a home.
Henckel 1929 in stag. Every blade is stamped and the main is etched. Couldn’t leave it behind.
