Ivoryman, they are solid copper after-market scales. They do add some extra weight, but I really like the heavier feel.

Dogleg, thanks. A friend put the scales on for me.

Ivoryman wrote: Sat Jul 24, 2021 10:40 pm Dan that's a cool picture of the stack. Never seen it done before either, so good on you for the original idea.
Thanks, Ivoryman. I'll give it another go sometime soon.

Actually it's rusty metal. It's the cap on the two foot tall post for the old land line junction box in the yard. You can see in the top photo that there is a screw port of chromed metal on the bottom curve too. That screw holds it onto the top of the hollow post.

Sasquach, that's great, how fitting. ::groove:: ::tu:: ::clapping:: ::rotflol::

Thanks guys!

The Bigfoot Bowie is a Rough Rider and the quality is about what you'd expect for a $25.00 Bowie. The steel seems to be fair, the scales are wood and lose on the rivets, and the sheath is ballistic nylon. But I bought it for the handle. It will probably never be used and reside in my novelty section. It does excel as a novelty! ::tu::
