"Wood" You Show Us Your Wood?
OK, I admit it. I'm partial to wood handles on knives. So, if you are of a like mind, please post a picture of your knife/knives, and the kind of wood used.
I'll start....... Here is my S. K. Knives, "Little Belt" Skinner in Cocobolo wood.

Rick, that is a fine looking skinning knife. OH

Great idea for a thread Mr. Rick! I love wood handled knives as well.
Here's a custom job done for me by fellow member Palladin 51 (Ken)...this was originally a plastic handled Colonial two blade jack, that he re-handled for me in Bocote wood! Ken made the shield as well.

Re: "Wood" You Show Us Your Wood?
Yes, great looking skinner, Rick! Hardwoods are some of my favorite handles, including cocobolo, ebony, maple, oak, snakewood, walnut & bokote. Here is one in coconut palm, not a commonly used wood. Also a cocobolo cotton sampler, Whaler and Eureka Jack. I just realized that a good percentage of my collection have wood handles! Oh, Mike, I just saw that custom Colonial. That is some of the best bokote I've seen!
A clear conscience is usually a sign of a bad memory.

Great knives Russell and Archer, really nice variety of wood there. Russell that Coconut palm is one I haven't seen before, the grain pattern in the wood almost calls to mind a jigging pattern at first glance, very cool.
Here's an unmarked old German folder, most likely from around the early 1900's or so...not sure what the wood is, but she's a solid old knife and snaps like an angry gator!

Re: "Wood" You Show Us Your Wood?
You guys have some very nicely figured wood there. These two Case pocketknives are the only two real wood handled knives that I own. Have some Buck 110 and Uncle Henry LB7 knives, but I think they are engineered wood and not natural. OH

Here is a Camillus boot knife I customized with snake wood.
I enjoy working with wood and I like the way a nice wood looks on good knife.
This is Schrade 15OT that I put Bokote wood handles on.
This is a Camillus blank that I dressed up with desert ironwood handles & Mosaic pins.
This is a Camillus Western that I put Thuya burl handles on.
This is the same pattern with Amboyna burl handles.
This is a Buck 110 that I customized with Pheasant wood handles.
This is the most recent one I have customized with wood, a Camillus Sharpfinger with stabilized spalted maple handles.
I enjoy working with wood and I like the way a nice wood looks on good knife.
